Horry County man apparently drowns

CONWAY, S.C. (AP) — A Conway man has apparently drowned in the Little Pee Dee River in Horry County.

Thirty-four-year-old Jimmy Booth was pronounced dead at a landing late Thursday afternoon.

Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard says it appears Booth drowned after jumping into the river. An autopsy was planned Friday afternoon to confirm the cause of death.
