Same Sex Marriage Reaction

(WOLO) COLUMBIA,S.C., There is a clear line of separation when it comes to those who are for and against same sex marriages. The issue became the topic of a conversation across the nation following the Presidents’ announcement that his views on gay marriage is quote, “evolving”. Gay rights advocate and President of The South Carolina Pride Movement, Jeff March says this is a huge step forward for the gay community. “This is the first president in history who has been so verbal and so supportive of the issue…I think it was brave of him to come out with this right before the November elections.” Pastor Brian Thomas of the North Star Christian center, who says the bible makes it clear that marriage is a sacred union between a man and a women thinks the move may cost the President votes when people hit the polls in 6 months. March who is rooting for the President’s re-election says it will be interesting to see if the move benefits the commander in chief, if it does, he believes it will speak volumes for those in unions who only want the same rights married couples have. It’s an issue that isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Right now, 30 states have banned same sex marriage.
