Clemson to face Purdue in conference challenge
CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Clemson will host Purdue at Littlejohn Coliseum in the annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge, the third time the teams have met in the conference competition.
The game will take place November 28th. Clemson lost to the Boilermakers 76-64 in West Lafayette, Indiana, in 2003. The teams met again in 2007, this time the Tigers winning 61-58 at Littlejohn.
The competition features 12 Atlantic Coast Conference teams matched up with 12 from the Big Ten Conference.
The Tigers are 9-4 in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge and have won six of their last eight in the event.
There are plenty of homegrown ties in the game that will be tugging at Clemson coach Brad Brownell. Brownell is a Hoosier State native and his wife, Paula, earned an undergraduate degree from Purdue.
