Haley, singer Edwin McCain to discuss foster care
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and singer Edwin McCain are getting together to support the state’s foster children.
Haley and McCain are holding a news conference Friday at South Carolina’s Statehouse.
Haley is standing in for her husband, Michael, who along with McCain will be a spokesman for the South Carolina Heart Gallery’s “Open your hearts, open your doors” ad campaign.
The Heart Gallery is a collaborative program administered and supported by the Children’s Foster Care Review Board and the South Carolina Department of Social Services. The group says the partnership helps with recruiting adoptive families. Local photographers also donate their services to provide portraits of the children, which are displayed around the state.
