1 killed, 2 injured in Dillon County shooting

HAMER, S.C. (AP) — Dillon County sheriff’s deputies say one person has died and two others have been hurt in a shooting.

Sheriff’s Capt. Cliff Arnette says the shooting occurred in the Hamer area Monday evening.

The coroner’s office says a woman died in the shooting. Her name has not been released. Two other victims are being treated in a hospital. There was no immediate word on their conditions.

No arrests have been reported. Deputies have not released a description of any possible suspects.

The State Law Enforcement Division is assisting in the investigation.
