Anderson woman arrested in boyfriend’s stabbing
ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) — Anderson police say a woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend to death has turned herself in to officers.
Lt. Tony Tilley says 46-year-old Anita Diana Scott is accused of stabbing 46-year-old Alvin Johnson on Saturday afternoon.
Witnesses said the couple argued at a home in Anderson before Johnson was stabbed.
Anderson County Deputy Coroner Don McCown says Johnson was rushed to Anmed Health where he died from a single stab wound to the chest about an hour later.
Tilley says Scott is also charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Scott’s family says she acted in self-defense. But another witness said Scott started the fight.
