Haley travels to coast talking storm preparedness
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Gov. Nikki Haley is traveling along the South Carolina coast to talk about getting ready for hurricanes.
Haley on Monday will visit emergency officials and talk with reporters in North Charleston and Beaufort just days after the 2012 hurricane season started.
The Atlantic hurricane season opened on Friday but it’s already affected South Carolina.
Storm advisories affecting sections of the South Carolina coast were posted last month both for Tropical Storm Alberto and Tropical Storm Beryl.
