2 charged with murder in 2006 Columbia shooting
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Richland County deputies say they have solved a nearly 6-year-old shooting death at a Columbia apartment.
Investigators said Thursday some new tips led them to charge 23-year-old Christopher Trice and 23-year-old Tomasina Miller with murder. They did not specify what the new information was.
Deputies say the suspects shot 37-year-old Joseph Richardson to death in November 2006. No motive was given for the shooting.
Authorities also charged the suspects with armed robbery, saying two Dollar General employees were beaten and threatened with a knife while they demanded money from the store’s safe in August 2006.
The two remain in the Richland County jail without bond. It wasn’t clear if they have attorneys.
