Coastal Carolina football player arrested
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) — A Coastal Carolina football player has been arrested and charged with shoplifting.
The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reported (http://bit.ly/LiCUuY) that Miles Rankin is accused of shoplifting less than $2,000 and third degree assault and battery.
Rankin is a safety who had four tackles in seven games as a freshman last year.
Coastal spokesman Mike Cawood says no decisions have been made on possible discipline by the university or the football program. Cawood says officials will let the legal process play out before deciding what to do.
