Suspect killed after firing on officers in Mullins

MULLINS, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a suspect in a domestic violence incident in Mullins has been shot and killed by police officers.

Investigators say officers were trying to calm the suspect down Friday afternoon when he ran away and began firing shots.

Authorities say the officers shot back and killed the man. His identity has not been released.

Investigators say none of the officers were hurt. The State Law Enforcement Division will investigate the shooting.
