Greenville County coroner identifies crash victim

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Greenville County officials have released the name of a teen killed in a hit-and-run accident.

The coroner’s office says 19-year-old Joseph Hastings died after he was struck late Saturday night. Hastings was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital where he died from blunt force trauma.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said a car hit a pedestrian in the road and the driver left the scene. Joshua Kelly was arrested shortly after the collision and has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death.
