SC man killed when car collides with transit bus
SENECA, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a 46-year-old man was killed when the car he was driving collided head-on with a Clemson Area Transit bus near Seneca.
The Independent-Mail of Anderson reports (http://bit.ly/Kr0xAK) that the South Carolina Highway Patrol says the bus was going west and a four-door Oldsmobile was heading east on Friday when the car crossed into the path of the bus.
Oconee County Deputy Coroner Greg Long identified the crash victim as Preston Lee Davis of Seneca.
Patrol Lance Cpl. Billy Elder said approximately 10 passengers were on the bus. They were taken to the Oconee Medical Center, along with the bus driver. While emergency responders said their injuries were not life-threatening, it was not clear how badly any of them were injured.
The patrol’s investigation into the accident is continuing.
