SC woman pleads guilty to fatal hit-and-run
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — A Spartanburg County woman has pleaded guilty in a fatal hit-and-run death nearly two years ago.
The Herald-Journal of Spartanburg reported (http://bit.ly/MXGsEo) that 27-year-old Health M. Williams of Moore entered the plea on Wednesday.
Prosecutors say Williams was driving in rush hour traffic in Greer when she hit 56-year-old Dewayne Keith Tweedell on Aug. 25, 2010. They say Williams left the scene. She was arrested several days later after taking her vehicle to a repair shop.
Williams apologized to Tweedell’s family.
