Cops: Husband kills wife, shoots self in Upstate

FINGERVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Deputies say a husband shot his estranged wife then turned the gun on himself at a Spartanburg County home.

Investigators say 48-year-old Tammy Blackwell lived apart from her husband, but came over to his Fingerville home and was shot to death Thursday evening.

Authorities say 48-year-old Harold Blackwell then turned the gun on himself. He was still alive when deputies arrived.

Deputies are still trying to figure out why the couple was together Thursday night and what led to the shooting.
