Glitch stops some Greenville fireworks from firing

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) _ San Diego had a problem with its entire July 4th fireworks all firing at the same time. Greenville had a problem with some of its July 4th fireworks not firing at all. A city spokeswoman says a switchboard malfunction as the show was supposed to start Wednesday meant that the fireworks had to be launched manually instead of electronically. Spokeswoman Angie Prosser says the company hired to produce the show did the best it could, but could not get all of the fireworks in the air. She says more than half of the shells did fire.
