Early Morning Fire Injures 1

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The Columbia-Richland Fire Department is working to determine what caused an early Tuesday morning fire, which sent one person to the hospital. Crews responded to Newnham Drive just before 7am. When firefighters arrived, a spokesperson says they found heavy smoke and fire coming from the home. He went on to say someone inside received burns and was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The fire caused about $50,000 in damage. It remains under investigation.
