Police: Teen home invader shot in Anderson County
ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) — Investigators say a 17-year-old girl who was part of a home invasion in Anderson has been shot and killed.
Anderson County deputies say the teen was supposed to hold two of the people in the home at gunpoint while her partners rifled through the home. But investigators say 21-year-old Kevin Pierce managed to tackle Emani Puckett and shot her as they fought for her gun.
Pierce was hit in the head with the gun and was taken to the hospital. Deputies say the partners ran from the home and have not been found.
Deputies are still investigating the incident and no charges have been filed.
