Haley scheduled to make swing through SC Upstate

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Gov. Nikki Haley is making several stops during a trip to South Carolina’s northwestern corner.

In the morning, Haley is visiting the Gateway House in Greenville to bestow a Northwestern Mutual Community Service Award.

Next, the governor is speaking at the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce’s Red Carpet Speaking Luncheon.

After that event, Haley is visiting ZF Transmissions in Gray Court and speaking with reporters.

The Germany-based company announced in September it would add 300 jobs to the Laurens County facility. South Carolina competed with more than a dozen states for the operation that will make rear-wheel drive 8-speed automatic transmission for Chrysler Group LLC.
