Hammond Ready For Private School Battle

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Defending six-time state SCISA champion Hammond will get an early season test against an old rival. Charlotte Christian visits Edens Field Friday night. Hammond and Charlotte Christian used to play in the same league in the 1980s and 90s. Current players like senior quarterback Jake Nidiffer are much more concerned about the present. Nidiffer says the Skyhawks are prepared for whatever Charlotte Christian might throw at them. This is the second game fo the 2012 season for both teams. Hammond beat Hilton Head Christian 37-0 in week zero. Charlotte Christian was equally impressive in its season opener, shutting out Northwoods Academy 41-0.
