Lightning causes problems at Irmo DMV

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The Irmo DMV office is running with limited services. Because of a lightning strike Wednesday night, the DMV reports that some outlets and equipment were damaged. The office ran on a delay yesterday but is still open. Motorists are asked to consider using other local offices or visit the DMV site to conduct business due to this limitation.
