USC Season Opener Five Days Away
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The Gamecocks returned to the practice field Saturday just five days away from their season opener against Vanderbilt. USC took a mandatory day off Friday after practices were cut short Thursday because of heavy rain. Starting quarterback Connor Shaw left that workout early because of back spasms, but he should be ready for kickoff come August 30th. South Carolina and Vanderbilt are scheduled to kick off at 7:00pm Thursday night in Nashville. The game will air on ESPN.
