A Community Comes Together for Missing Teen

(WOLO) COLUMBIA,S.C., — The Right Direction International Church has been praying without ceasing since 15 year old Gabbiee Swainson disappeared from her Richland County home. News of a suspect arrest has them praying even more as they hold on to the hope she will soon return home. But church members aren’t the only ones praying. We spoke with members of the community who say they’ve been following the case since it broke and were compelled to come out and join the effort to find her. “It hits close to my heart because i am a single mother of a teenage daughter and I had to work late nights and unfortunately leave my daughter home alone….as a parent we always want our kids to be safe and we do our best.” Kimberly Brockington says she has never met the Swainsons family but, as a mother herself can feel their pain. While praying for Gabbiee’s safe return, Brockington says she is also using this as a teachable moment for her daughter.
