Suspect Named in Cook Out Shooting

Columbia, SC (WOLO)– Columbia police have named a suspect in a shooting at a Five Points restaurant back in July. Investigators say Billy Jo Downs is wanted for attempted murder after a shooting at Cook Out. According to police on July 21st Downs approached an employee of Cook Out in the parking lot and demanded money. When the suspect tried to drive away, police say Downs fired a shot grazing the victim’s shoulder. If you have any information on this incident call the Columbia Police Department.
