Gamecocks Lead UAB 21 to 6 At Half

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Junior tail back Marcus Lattimore gets a 2-yard touchdown run to give the Gamecocks the 21-6 lead at half. The touchdown officially put Lattimore on top of the USC record books with his 34th career touchdown, breaking his previously tied spot with George Rodgers and Harold Green. The touchdwon also gave Lattimore his 31st career rushing touchdown which ties the current record. On the play that set up the Lattimore touchdown junior quarterback Connor Shaw completed a pass to Ace Sanders and was hit in his injuried shoulder. Shaw left the field in pain and sophomore Dylan Thompson entered the game. Head coach Steve Spurrier said that Shaw would rest for the remainder of the game and Thompson would finish out the game.
