USC Milestones From UAB Game

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Saturday’s game against UAB provided some great highlights and headlines. Here is a look at some of the moments of night from the Gamecocks 49-6 win over UAB. Head Football Coach Steve Spurrier got his 200th collegiate win on Saturday night. Marcus Lattimore gets his 34th career touchdown, becoming USC’s all time leader in career touchdowns. The 2-yard rushing touchdown was also his 31st career rushing touchdown, which ties him for the school record for career rushing touchdowns. Starting quarterback Connor Shaw reinjuried his throwing shoulder at the end of the first half, and sophomore Dylan Thompson had to play the rest of the game. Shaw admitted after the game that it was a crack in his shoulder and he was hit in the exact same spot he was hit in during the Vanderbilt game. Damiere Byrd’s 94-yard pass from Dylan Thompson for a touchdown is the fourth longest play in Gamecock’s history. Former Lexington standout Shaq Roland got his first career touchdown on a 30-yard touchdown pass from Dylan Thompson. Freshman running back Mike Davis got his first career touchdown in the fourth quarter. Davis had 84 yards on just four carries, including a rush of 50 yards.
