SC State Library to offer transparency class

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — The South Carolina State Library is offering people a chance to learn more about how their government operates — and what information is available.

The library on Tuesday is hosting a class on government transparency.

Organizers say the session will include discussions on demographics, health statistics and traffic patterns. There will also be talks on legislative information, employment and budgets.

The course is designed for researchers, students and anyone who may be finding it difficult to locate unique South Carolina information.
