(WOLO) — The Gamecocks aren’t the only team in Columbia dealing with a starting quarterback with a shoulder problem. Missouri quarterback James Franklin, who sat out last Saturday’s 24-20 win over Arizona St., said at the beginning of the week that he was optimistic about playing this Saturday at #7 South Carolina. “It feels a lot better than it has been,” Franklin said about his labrum injury in his throwing shoulder. “I think I’ll be ready to go. It’s been feeling way better.” USC quarterback Connor Shaw left Saturday’s 49-6 win over UAB just before halftime after reaggravating a hairline fracture in his shoulder blade. Tuesday, Spurrier named Shaw his starting quarterback. #7 USC will kick off against Missouri today just after 3:30.
