Apartment shooting lands man in hospital

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — A Saturday afternoon shooting has landed a man in the local hospital. Columbia Police spokesperson Jennifer Timmons says at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, a man who is believed to be in his 30s was standing outside talking with others at the Rutledge Forest Apartments on Falling Springs Road, which is near Sunset Drive. Investigators say that’s when someone inside a vehicle in that area starting shooting, hitting the man several times. After getting shot, the man reportedly tried to get help by knocking on apartment doors before collapsing. The identity of the man shot has not been released. He was transported to the local hospital, but there is no word on his condition.
