COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The Kentucky Wildcats are the only team from the SEC East to beat South Carolina over the past three seasons. Two years ago, UK beat the then no. 10 Gamecocks in Lexington. This, after the Gamecocks defeated no. 1 Alabama at WIlliams-Brice Stadium a week earlier. “This is a different team,” said USC head football coach Steve Spurrier. “Every team’s different, every year’s different. This is two years ago, we’re talking about a game that we had under control. We were ready to play up there, but they completely outplayed us the 2nd half, out-coached us completely the 2nd half, and we ended up losing the game.” The Gamecocks are 21-point favorites heading to Lexington this weekend. Last year, USC did not allow a UK touchdown in their 54-3 rout of the Wildcats. Kickoff for USC-UK Saturday is set for 7:00PM EST.
