Construction to close bridge in Pomaria

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Construction for a portion of US 176 in Newberry County will force the closure of a bridge in Pomaria. The Newberry County Sheriff’s Department is reporting that the bridge over Crimms Creek will be closed starting Monday and will remain closed for at least a week — possibly up to two weeks depending on the work load. Traffic will be detoured from US 176 onto SC Highway 773, then onto I-26, then onto SC 202, and back onto US 176.
