SC deputies, police duke it out for a good cause

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Law officers are donning their boxing gloves and duking it out in Columbia for a good cause.

A bout that is part of the Metro Madness 2 competition is scheduled for Saturday night at the Township Theater. Lexington County Sheriff’s Deputy Patrick Hanko is representing his department.

He’ll face off with Columbia Police Officer Emanuel Dejesus.

The victor goes home with bragging rights. But organizers say each agency will get two bullet-proof vest, courtesy of the Palmetto Boxing Association.
