Passing Sophomore quarterback Jeff Driskel is throwing the ball pretty well for the Gators with 836 yards and 4 touchdowns on the season. He has a 66.7 completion rate, completing 74 of 111 passes. According to ESPN, the Gators rank 118th in the nation in passing yards at 145 yards a game. Rushing The Gators have a strong rushing attack ranking 14th in the nation in rushing yards a game, according to ESPN, at 233.3 yards per game. Senior running back Mike Gillislee leads the team in carries, yards, and touchdowns with 120 carries, 615 yards, and 7 touchdowns. Quarterback Jeff Driskel also has major contributions to the running game with 57 carries, 326 yards, and 4 touchdowns. The Gators also use a couple other players in the running game. Defense Florida has 12 sacks and 7 interceptions on the season. Senior linebacker Jon Bostic is the teams leader in sacks at 3. The Gators are ranked 6th in points against allowing 12.3 points per game. Comparing this to the Gamecocks; who have 26 sacks and 9 interceptions through seven games. Sophomore Jadeveon Clowney is USC’s leader in sacks at 6.5. The Gamecocks are ranked 5th in the nation in points against allowing 12.3 points per game.
