CLEMSON, S.C. (WOLO) — Sammy Watkins hopes he can show every that he is still the “same Sammy” that he is known to be as the Tigers begin the second half of their season. Through Clemson’s first six games of the season, Watkins has seen playing time in just half of those. He sat out the first two games as part of a suspension for an off-season arrest. Then, a virus kept him from traveling with team as they played at Boston College a few weeks ago. So far this season, Watkins has 16 receptions for 118 yards, and no touchdowns. No. 19 Clemson hosts Virginia Tech Saturday in a rematch of last year’s ACC Championship game. Kickoff is set for noon.
