Morris Ready For Clemson Offense To Respond

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Chad Morris hasn’t had to go through too many games like last weekend, watching his Clemson offense struggle to move the ball. The Tigers second-year coordinator said Monday he plans to make sure it doesn’t happen again. The 14th-ranked Tigers (6-1, 3-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) was held to 295 yards against Virginia Tech. Tajh Boyd was the ACC leader in passing yards per game, but managed only 160 — well below his average of 291 coming in. The offensive line gave up five sacks in a 38-17 win over the Hokies after allowing only 10 its first six games. Morris says everyone shares blame, including himself. He says the group was focused at Sunday practice in preparation to play Wake Forest on Thursday night. Copyright 2012 The Associated Press.
