3 Charged with Taking Safe at Clemson Dining Hall

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) _ Clemson University police say three Liberty men have been arrested and charged with taking a safe from a campus dining hall. Authorities say the men worked for Clemson Cleaning Services and were not students or employees of the school. Twenty-year-old Jacob Matthew Fulmer; 23-year-old Robert Matthew Fulmer, and 31-year-old James Richard Smith are charged with grand larceny and criminal conspiracy to commit grand larceny. Police said a safe containing cash and other items was taken from an office in Harcombe Dining Hall between late Saturday night or early Sunday morning. Officers say someone also tried to take a safe from another office, but the safe was bolted to the floor. It was not clear if the men have attorneys.
