Looking Back At Tennessee

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The Gamecocks defeated Tennessee 38-35 on Saturday but suffered possibly the biggest loss of the season with the Marcus Lattimore injury. Here is a quick look back at the game. Connor Shaw had a career day in passing yards throwing for 356 yards and 3 touchdowns on 22 of 32 passing attempts. Justice Cunningham, Bruce Ellington, and Ace Sanders all had career receiving days. Cunningham had 108 yards receiving on 6 receptions, Ellington had 101 yards and a touchdown on 6 catches and Sanders had 79 yards on 5 receptions with a touchdown. Lattimore had 65 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries before he left in the second quarter with the right knee injury. According to an official release by the athletics department Lattimore suffered a hyperextension of the knee resulting in injury to several ligaments, there were no fractures or additional injuries, according to team physician Dr. Jeffrey Guy. On defense Jadeveon Clowney had 4 tackles (3 solo) including a sack and forced a fumble which probably saved the game. On Saturday following the game Head football coach Steve Spurrier said Jadeveon won the game for them. Victor Hampton got a late game interception on Saturday as well.
