USC’s Miles: “Main Goal Is To Win”

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The Gamecocks went through their first week of practice without Marcus Lattimore there this season. According to reports Thursday, Lattimore is scheduled to have the first of what will be multiple surgeries to repair his right knee. Lattimore suffered his 2nd-straight season-ending surgery against Tennessee last Saturday. Lattimore injured several ligaments in his knee. Kenny Miles will take over at tailback with Lattimore out for the remainder of the year. Miles says he wants people to know the Gamecocks’ rushing attack is here to stay, and that USC’s main goal is to win. “Still got the pieces, still got the people, still got the coaches, and we’re all focused,” said Miles. “We’re just ready to go.” Mike Davis and Brandon Wilds will back Miles up. USC enjoys a bye week this Saturday. The Gamecocks return to action November 10 against Arkansas at Williams-Brice Stadium. Kickoff is set for noon.
