Weekend Traffic Advisories for Downtown Columbia

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Drivers, you may encounter some road blocks when heading out this weekend. The 26th annual Chili Cook-off will take place in Five Points. So Saturday morning, starting at 7, Columbia Police will set up barricades in the 2100 and 2200 blocks of Greene Street along with the 700 and 800 blocks of Pavilion Avenue. The event goes until 6pm. Saturday morning also marks the 39th annual Governor’s Cup Half Marathon and Run. Crews will begin setting up at 5 on Gervais Street between Sumter and Assembly Streets. That includes the 1200 block of Main Street too. The event kicks off at 8.
