Looking Ahead To Arkansas

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The 8th (BCS) ranked Gamecocks will host Arkansas this Saturday, October 10th at Williams-Brice Stadium at noon. Here is a quick look ahead to the match-up. South Carolina The Gamecocks are coming off their bye week. Carolina is looking to establish Kenny Miles and Mike Davis in the running game with the loss of Marcus Lattimore two weeks ago against Tennessee. Connor Shaw had his best game two weeks ago and will look to continue that success this weekend. Arkansas The Razorbacks are coming off a tough 19-15 win against Tulsa, which gives them a 4-5 record and they are 2-3 in conference play coming into the matchup. Last weekend against Tulse, the Razorbacks’ senior quarterback Tyler Wilson was 21 of 31 for 272 yards with 1 interception. The Hogs produced 135 yards rushing, with senior tail back Dennis Johnson carry the load with 22 carries for 109 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Razorbacks currently rank 22nd in Passing Yards and 102nd in Rushing Yards at 305.4 and 123.6 yards per game respectively; while ranking 78th in Points For at 26.1 points per game according to ESPN. Which also has the defense ranked at 78th nationally for Points Against at 29.1 points a game.
