DHEC director speaking to environmental meeting

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — The director of South Carolina’s health and environmental agency is speaking at a conference on compliance environmental regulations.

Department of Health and Environmental Control director Catherine Templeton is giving an opening keynote address on Wednesday at the 2012 Environmental Assistance Conference in Columbia.

Organizers say the meeting’s agenda is targeted mostly to industries and businesses. But DHEC also says that representatives from local governments, utilities and colleges will also get valuable information from the session and can also build contacts to help their institutions comply with environmental regulations.
