Man shot in Clover’s 1st homicide of 2012

CLOVER, S.C. (AP) _ A York man has been arrested and charged with murder in the shooting death of a man found near Clover. Authorities say they were called to a shooting at around 3 a.m. Tuesday. They found 22-year-old Travis Koin suffering from a gunshot wound. York County Coroner Sabrina Gast says Koin was pronounced dead an hour later at a hospital. Early Wednesday, authorities arrested 21-year-old Kevin Michael Eades in Spartanburg County and charged him with murder. Authorities say Eades has an extensive criminal history that includes convictions for assault and battery, drug possession, burglary and criminal domestic violence. It wasn’t known if Eades had an attorney.
