Gamecocks Lead Arkansas 21-10 At Half

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The Gamecocks extended their first half lead to 21-10 over Arkansas with a 42 yard Bruce Ellington reception from Connor Shaw. Ellington caught the ball near the USC side line and took the ball the rest of the way, making a cut to escape two defenders. The touchdown was set up by the second play of the drive, a 24 yard pass from Shaw to tail back Kenny Miles out of the back field. Shaw’s second carry of the game resulted in ten yards and a touchdown giving Carolina a 14-7 lead. Arkansas would respond the next drive with a field goal to cut the lead to 14-10.
