South Carolina to Fall Silent for Victims

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – South Carolina will go quiet Friday morning. Governor Nikki Haley is asking South Carolinians to observe a moment of silence at 9:30. It’s to remember and honor the victims of last week’s school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. Haley says, “Like families across our state and nation, we were heartbroken by the tragedy that took so many innocent lives in the town of Newtown.”
