Gamecocks Get Set For SEC Play

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — After winning their 10th game of the season and matching last season’s win total, Frank Martin said he expected to have more victories at this point in the year. “I expected to be 13-0 right now,” said Martin following USC’s 80-69 win over SC State Saturday. “I wake up every day and expect to win that day.” With Saturday’s victory, the Gamecocks close out their non-conference schedule. Now, the competition gets tougher with SEC play right around the corner. USC opens up their conference schedule at MIssissippi State Wednesday. “Are we ready? I guess we’re going to find out,” said Martin. “We don’t get to hide here.” USC plays on the road Wednesday in Starkville, and returns to Colonial Life Arena Saturday against Auburn.
