Gamecocks Get Best Finish Ever, Again
(WOLO) — For the second straight season, Gamecock football finishes with its best ranking ever. USC finished #7 in the final coaches poll and #8 in the last Associated Press poll. Carolina football finished the 2011 season in the top 10 for the first time. USC was #8 in the coaches poll last year and #9 in the AP poll. For the first time ever, one conference finished with five of the top ten ranked teams. The SEC finished with three of the top five teams and five of the top ten.
