Newberry Authorities Issue Bank Fraud Warning

NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – Online bankers beware, you’re just a click away from putting your personal information in the hands of someone else. Scam artists are sending e-mails, telling people their account has had too many unsuccessful log-ins. Therefore, they need to click on a link to verify their information. That link, which looks like a bank’s website, asks for your card numbers, password, date of birth and social security number. You’re asked not to enter in any of that information.
