Man Faces More Serious Charge after Second Arrest

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Arrested for a second time, a 20-year-old man is facing a more serious charge after escaping from Columbia Police. Officers say they initially handcuffed Michael Carrell last week following a fight on Harden Street. He then allegedly broke out the back window of a patrol cruiser and took off. The three other individuals shown here are also facing charges in connection with the case. Investigators say they used tools to help remove Carrell’s handcuffs.
