Unloaded gun found on student at Midlands school
BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. (AP) _ Authorities say a 16-year-old student has been found with an unloaded gun at a Midlands high school. Richland County deputies say the gun was stolen Monday and its owner made a list of people who were with his daughter at the time the weapon was taken. A deputy and officials at Westwood High School in Blythewood searched the students and found the gun with a 16-year-old boy. Authorities say the boy told them he took all his possessions to school every day and didn’t plan to harm anyone. The teen is charged with larceny, carrying a weapon on school grounds and other counts. His name was not released because of his age.
