Puppy Mill Rescue

Rescued from a puppy mill in Chesterfield, some dogs have found a new temporary home here in the midlands. A spokesperson for the Chesterfield County Animal Shelter says 44 dogs were removed from a puppy mill yesterday morning. Their facility was unable to house all of the animals so some were brought here to Pets Inc. Organizers say they hope they can find these dogs a happy home. Chesterfield officials did not release the name of the woman who is suspected of operating the puppy mill but did say she is facing criminal charges.
