A commemorative breakfast is scheduled for Friday in The Zone at Williams Brice Stadium at 7:30 a.m. The event features the Rev. William Barber, president of the North Carolina chapter of the NAACP, as guest speaker.
On Sunday, the USC Gospel Choir Men of Praise, the Capital City Chorale and the Bethel A.M.E. Church choir sing at the Koger Center at 6 p.m.
Observances include three days of community service being conducted across campus. The services occur on Monday, which is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, as well as Jan. 25 and Jan. 26.
